I am a plant ecologist, with good experience in data analysis, mainly interested in understanding how alpine plant species and communities, as well as the ecosystem functions and services depending on these, will be influenced by changing environmental conditions, in particular in the face of the current climate crisis.
The main topics of my research are:
- Vegetation dynamics and effects of global warming in alpine snowbeds
- Impacts of extreme climatic events on alpine primary grasslands
- Description and classification of vegetation types in the Northern Apennines
My teaching experience includes lectures and practical work in Geobotany and Methods in Vegetation Science.
